Cooking from 4pm

Serving from 7pm

Every wednesday

The Peoples kitchen is a collectively organised community meal hosted by TuTu Queer space and Black Rose Anarchist Library and Social Centre. This project has been cooking out of the Kitchen at 22 Enmore rd since 2009 but has existed in many social centres and lounge rooms in Sydney and around the world.

TPK organising assembly first Wednesday of the month after dinner

Food is sourced from dumpsters, food co-ops and peoples gardens, from 4pm every Wednesday different folk gather to prepare a meal, sharing skills and stories. Food is served at 7pm with a focus on vegan, gluten free food and an awareness of food allergies to create healthy and delicious food that everyone can eat.

This is not charity but an opportunity for our diverse radical community to be empowered in taking care of our needs in opposition to capitalism. A safer space to bring our struggles together, break out of our usual circles and find out what other people are working on. we hold an assembly first wed of the month to discuss the project, its relevance and how it relates to other actions and events.

The people’s kitchen is not en end in itself but part of an ongoing struggle to live our lives with dignity and self respect, free from social, state and capitalist oppression, creating the types of social relationships that bring revolutionary solidarity.

Come check it out or better yet start up your own project.
